Flooring, made clearer.

Practical guidance for selecting, specifying and caring for timber floors.

What is engineered timber flooring?

Engineered flooring combines a real timber wear layer with a multi-layer core designed to improve dimensional stability compared with a solid timber board.

What is the difference between plank and herringbone?

Plank flooring uses long boards in linear layouts. Herringbone uses shorter blocks installed in a repeating zig-zag pattern.

Can I order samples before choosing?

Yes. Add samples to your basket and complete your order at checkout.

How do I care for my timber floor?

Use a soft brush or vacuum, clean with a lightly damp mop and a timber-safe cleaner, and avoid standing water. Always follow the finish manufacturer’s care instructions.
